Floors are rarely level
Measure the drop in several places along the track. Want a gap everywhere? Use the shortest. Want it to puddle or kiss everywhere? Use the longest.

Top Fit — check the ceiling
Check there is timber or a joist in the ceiling where the track will go. Anchors in plaster can hold; timber is safer for the weight.
